What is Eid al Fitr in Islam :

Eid al-Fitr (“festival of breaking of the fast”), also called Feast of Breaking the Fast, the Sugar Feast, Bayram (Bajram), the Sweet Festival and the Lesser Eid, is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting (sawm).
The religious Eid is a single day during which Muslims are not permitted to fast. The holiday celebrates the conclusion of the 29 or 30 days of dawn-to-sunset fasting during the entire month of Ramadan. The day of Eid, therefore, falls on the first day of the month of Shawwal. This is a day when Muslims around the world show a common goal of unity.
The date for the start of any lunar Hijri month varies based on the observation of new moon by local religious authorities, so the exact day of celebration varies by locality. However, in most countries, it is generally celebrated on the same day as Saudi Arabia.

Eid al Fitr 2018

Eid al-Fitr has a particular Salat (Islamic prayer) consisting of two Rakats (units) and generally offered in an open field or large hall. It may be performed only in congregation (Jama’at) and, has an additional extra six Takbirs (raising of the hands to the ears while saying “Allāhu Akbar”, literally “God is greatest”), three of them in the beginning of the first raka’ah and three of them just before Ruku’ in the second raka’ah in the Hanafi school of Sunni Islam.
Other Sunni schools usually have twelve Takbirs, seven in the first, and five at the beginning of the second raka’ah. This Eid al-Fitr salat is, depending on which juristic opinion is followed, Fard (obligatory), Mustahabb (strongly recommended, just short of obligatory) or mandoob (preferable).
Muslims believe that they are commanded by Allah, as mentioned in the Quran, to continue their fast until the last day of Ramadan[5] and pay the Zakat and fitra before offering the Eid prayers.

At a Glance, Eid al Fitr

Eidul Fitr is one of the leading religious festivals of Muslims in the world. This holy day is celebrated through eternal joy and festivity. Eidul Fitr can also be said to celebrate the festival of fasting. One of the main ingredients of Eid is Eid, the two rakyats of the Eid are Wajib prayers.

Regarding the merits of this Eid prayer, the Prophet Muhammad (saw) said, “On the day of Eid-ul-Fitr, the angels used to shout at the crossroads and say O Muslims! Come to Allah, the master of good deeds and the Highest of the reward. You were commanded to worship at night, you did it, you were ordered to fast on the day, and you did it. You have provided food for the poor and the poor, accept his reward today.

Then when the Muslims prayed Eid, an angel declared in a loud voice: Your Lord has forgiven you. Now go back to your homes with your beautiful body and mind. This day is a gift day. The name of the day in the sky is announced as ‘Gift Day.’ The hadith has been mentioned in Taburni Sharif.

Eid is not just a celebration or a celebration day. Eid is a worship name. This is a great blessing for the day. There are individual acts of worship in this day, which can be found in many virtues.

The Messenger of Allah (s) said, the person who wakes up to five nights, will be Jannat for him. The nights are the night of Zilhaz, the night of Arafa, the Eid al-Azhar, the night of the Eid al Fitr and the midnight of Shaban. Therefore, it is an excellent work to be celebrated on Eid-ul-Fitr night. Now we will know what we have to do on Eid Day. The day should be started by offering the Fajr prayers at Jamaat in the morning of Eid.

The ladies will prepare the Eid by providing Fajr prayers in their homes. Men will use perfumes after bathing and cleaning, and everyone will wear the best clothes accordingly. Ibn ‘Umar (R) comes in a clear description; he said that on the day of Eid al-Fitr, the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to take a shower before going to the Eidgah. Ibn ‘Umar (RA) said in a typical Baihaqi style that the Prophet (peace be upon him) used to wear the best of the two Eid. Before eating Eidgah on Eid-ul-Fitr, the Sunnah eats sweet foods. We will not eat only on the eid day; we will eat others.

Everyone will be associated with Eid joy. Sunnah was going to the Eidgah on foot to earn Eid prayers. Going one way to the Eidgah and returning to another way is the Sunnah. This is because of the greeting of the people of both the ways and the greeting of the Eid.

It is obligatory to read takbeer while going to the Eidgah. Sahih came to the hadith that the Prophet (s) used to read the Takbir until he reached the Eidgah on the Eid al-Fitr’s day. He used to recite Takbir until he finished the Eid prayers. When the prayer was over, he did not recite takbeer again. Taurasi is – Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar Lilahah of Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar Allyallil Hamd

On the other hand exchange of greetings on Eid, it is a matter of law. The poor and the poor have given them a sutokatul friend before going to the Eidgah.
